Pass Plus

Pass Plus was developed by the Driving Standards Agency. It is a six part training course which helps new drivers gets experience in towns, all-weathers, out of town and rural roads, night driving, dual carriageway and motorways. Each part lasts an hour.

We will be looking for a good standard of driving in all six areas. We will also want to see improved observation, care, courtesy and consideration for other road users and the ability to anticipate hazards and take the necessary action.

There is no test at the end. We will sign off your training form and send it to the DSA, who will then send you a Pass Plus certificate.

What does Pass Plus involve?

The course is a series of six specially designed training modules. Most people complete all six modules in six separate one hour sessions, but some can take up to ten sessions to reach the required standard. When you call us we'll arrange a course to suit you.
 

The modules are:

1.Town driving
Driving in town can be a frightening experience; nose to tail traffic, complicated junctions, roundabouts and pedestrians who don't look . . . learn the skills to deal with all these and much, much more.

2.All-weather driving
Rain, fog, bright sunshine, snow and ice: find out how to drive safely in all these different weather conditions.

3.Driving out of town
Hidden junctions, horse riders and all kinds of hazards, from sharp bends and potholesto large slow vehicles and animals in the road. Sharpen up your hazard perception. . . we show you how to read the ‘signs' and give you the skills that could quite literally save your life.

4.Night driving
Dazzle from careless drivers, judging distance and speed, using your lights safely. These are just some of the skills you'll learn.

5.Driving on dual carriageways
Learn to drive safely on fast dual carriageways. We'll sharpen up your skills of observation and anticipation. Drive the freeways with confidence.

6.Driving on Motorways
Motorways are like no other roads: learn how to drive on them safely and correctly under expert Advanced Instruction.
